The foundation

Experience before technology.

Arthur's electrical career began not behind a computer, but through the IBEW Local 103 Apprenticeship Program and on real construction sites.

He progressed through the trade from apprentice and journeyman to field supervision, contracting, senior project management, and owner's representation. That full-career perspective shapes the manual's central promise: artificial intelligence should support the experienced person, never replace professional responsibility.

Arthur currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Local 103 Retirees Club, where he has also applied AI-assisted workflows to organization, reporting, and communication while retaining full review and responsibility.

The career

Four phases. One practical point of view.

01

The trade and the field

Arthur began through the IBEW Local 103 Apprenticeship Program. He progressed from apprentice to journeyman, foreman, general foreman, and Union Master Electrician, building the practical foundation behind every lesson in the manual.

02

Leadership and project delivery

His career expanded into electrical contracting, senior project management, construction management, and owner's representation. He learned the work from every side: the tools, the field office, the contractor, and the owner.

03

Mission-critical infrastructure

Arthur's experience includes power generation, institutional construction, federal renovation, and mission-critical data center work involving the high-reliability electrical systems that support modern technology.

04

AI and the next generation

Building on a lifetime in construction, Arthur turned his attention to the technology transition reshaping the industry. The manual was built using the same AI tools it teaches, with professional judgment and human verification remaining the final authority.

Project foundation

Work that demanded judgment.

Power generation

Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station and major power-house construction established Arthur's early foundation in complex electrical infrastructure and crew leadership.

Institutional construction

Work associated with MIT, Brandeis University, and other occupied institutions reinforced the importance of coordination, documentation, and responsibility to the owner.

Mission-critical facilities

At Charles Schwab in Phoenix, Arthur managed data center construction where UPS systems, transfer equipment, life safety, commissioning, and zero-tolerance reliability were central.

Owner's representation

Federal and institutional assignments required Arthur to coordinate trades, protect ownership interests, and make decisions with schedule, cost, safety, and operations all in view.
